Welcome to the Furleigh Farms website. In 1910 the Furleigh Farm, founded by Richard Furleigh, started out raising hogs, cattle and growing oats and corn. It wasn’t until Richard’s grandson, Robert, returned home from Iowa State University in 1953 that the farm began producing the delicious strawberries that have become a North Iowa favorite. The farm, located just east of Clear Lake, currently has about 20 acres dedicated to fruit and vegetable production.
The family run and owned farm offers a wide variety of quality and wholesome fruit and vegetables. The Furleigh’s are perhaps best know for their delicious strawberries, but also grow many other products such as tomatoes, hot & sweet peppers, egg plant, cucumbers, zucchini, sweet corn, squash, gourds, pumpkins…and the list goes on!
The farm has become a part of many family traditions, providing a unique experience to their customers, offering both pick-your-own and ready pick options. Every year, Furleigh Farms attracts thousands of visitors from near and far. In addition to the farm fresh produce offered from June through October, many families enjoy visiting the pumpkin patch each Fall. The patch features a variety of free, family friendly activities such as a petting zoo, bounce house, corn maze and more!
Thank you for visiting our website. We hope you will personally make a visit to our farm to experience the best of local food in Northern Iowa!
